Description . Bark Painting by artist Bob Bilinyarra Subject (Aboriginal, Wulaki Tribe, c.1920-1978), totem (diver bird looking for catfish in a water hole at Gadji) c1960s, natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark. The Diver Bird and the Catfish are the painters Totem. Although the label has been attacked by Silverfish a label from another of his works I own is attached for comparison. Works by Bob Bilinyarra are held at the Art Gallery of W.A, Art Gallery of N.S.W. and several other Public National Galleries. Please note that a similar subject bark by Bob Bilinyarra sold at Sotherby’s for USD$6800 in 1998.
