Description .Dilly Bag from Maningrida in the Northern Territory of Australia. The parrot feathers are woven into the bag. The Dilly bag is normally woven out of vines or tough dried grasses and sometimes had feather decorations. Occasionally it was also woven from the fibres of plant species of the Pandanus Tree. This fine bag was collected by a nurse working in Mainigrida in 1959 and is in perfect condition.
