Description An Iatmul cassowary bone dagger overlaid with mud, shellwork and cassowary feathers to form a face. The items were supposedly payback daggers with the clay head painted with clan designs and the face represents the person to be avenged in a payback ceremony. A good example of this style of dagger. Length is 12″ plus hair.
