Description . Old Message Stick bought from a mueum in Bundaberg that closed in the 1980’s. Most items were collected in the 1950’s and earlier. Australian Aboriginal Message Sticks are a form of communication traditionally used by Indigenous Australians and were passed between different clans and language groups to send messages. The carrier of the message stick was granted safe passage across other aboriginal nation’s lands.
