It needed to stand for a number of days, with a stick of wood holding it open to prevent it losing its shape and was the onornately decorated on their exterior with various etching. This example was collected at an Aboriginal settlement in southern Western Australia by a nurse working there in 1963. The item is quite finely carved and quite lightweight.
