Description .Extremely rare West Australian Aboriginal shield with sacred or totemic designs profusely etched on both sides. The designs on the front are of the style normally only found on sacred Aboriginal churingas or message boards and the shield was probably only used in a ceremonial capacity. Totally covered in red ochre except for a few patches of wear.
